Supporting Many Cultures Postpartum Practices.

Whether it's your first child or your sixth, no two experiences are the same. Let me tailor support to fit your currant situation.

I am a certified postpartum doula who is also a trained newborn care specialist, night nanny, Texas breastfeeding educator, community childbirth educator, offering breastfeeding support, meal prep planning, IVF and surrogate support, new parent education, sleep trainer with multiples expertise. I offer a well rounded heart centered service. As a postpartum doula, I give support after labor and delivery at the hospital or when you arrive home. Sometimes pregnancies require bedrest suggested by your OBGYN or Midwife. This is called antepartum care or confinement care. I am willing to help you in your home if this is the case to keep you off of your feet until the baby is born. I also teach newborn care and assist parents as a night nanny. Sometimes, parents want to be able to get a good night sleep. Many families are not prepared for the every 2-3 hour feedings a baby does during the first few weeks of coming home. I also offer breastfeeding support meal prep and 24 hour care that can be implemented in your package too. If your baby or babies keeps waking up two to three times per night, you don't have to get up. Why not hire Postpartum to do the job for you? I bet you did not know that there were people who made a profession of this? It is almost like having a newborn nightingale nursery angel at your side. One other thing I forgot to mention. Once you have your baby in the hospital and you need someone to stay the night or day to assist, I would more than happy to help you.

I proudly serve the surrounding areas of Dallas County, Tarrant County, Denton County and Collin County and would love to get to know you and your family. Contact me now!

What are some advantages of having a Postpartum Doula?

Because postpartum doulas fill in the gaps created by our modern society that normally would have been filled by extended family members. Many live far away from their close friends and family. Cheryl creates happy, well rested, confidently empowered postpartum wellness clients while offering an empowering modern mothering experience.

The new mother may feel anxious and overwhelmed. The skills you’ve learned in parenting classes, such as bathing and feeding may be forgotten. Caring for a new life is a tremendous responsibility. A Postpartum Doula will help with:

•   Reducing chances of maternal postpartum depression and/or a shorter duration for the mother to cope with Postpartum, if and when it does occur.

•   Reducing maternal exhaustion, frustration, and apprehension during early weeks.

•   With the dad back to work sooner with less anxiety.

•   Greater understanding of a newborn’s emotional, physical, and behavioral needs.

•   Easier bonding due to more confidence.

We had a wonderful experience with Cheryl! Cheryl took the time to come show us some baby care basics before our baby was born which is great as we are first time parents. She was there for us the night we brought our newborn son home until he started sleeping through the night. She is amazing and had my son sleeping long stretches very early on. Cheryl is very professional, consistent and dependable. We would use her again if we have baby number 2.
